The Foundation
The Foundation started as an idea and a desire of a ten-year-old whose parents always taught her that it is better to give than receive. With that in mind she set out to help change the world in her local community with “the faith of mustard seed and a willing heart.” She had no money of her own or a non-profit foundation/organization supporting her, but she had an idea and a willing heart. The ten-year-old unselfishly decided to forgo receiving birthday presents for herself and instead collect school supplies for a local public school. With the help of her mom she found Lindley Six Grade Academy, a public school in her very own community, where children her own age were in need. It was there that her mustard seed was planted. It was also there that here mustard seed started growing and giving became purposeful. That small idea/desire/seed has blossomed into an ongoing relationship with Lindley. Thanks to family and friend, her mustard seed continues to grow with each year’s donations and supplies surpassing the previous year.
